Mark Biedron, Co-Founder, Trustee, and General Contractor, The Willow School, Gladstone, NJ. President, Sustainable Growth Technologies, LLC. LEED Accredited Professional.

Mr. Biedron has 30 years of experience in the field of environmentally safe products, starting in 1975 as the Vice-President of Con-Lux Coatings, Inc, which specialized in low VOC paints and coatings. In 1997, he founded Solid Wood Construction, LLC using the principals of green building in conjunction with salvaged and recycled materials. Together with his wife, he founded The Willow School in 2000, a new independent, private, non-profit day school in Gladstone, New Jersey. The school uses the principles of sustainability and sense of place as "integrating concepts" for curriculum, community outreach, and campus ecology. The Willow School's first academic building received the United States Green Building Council LEED Gold Certification, making it the first private educational institution in the United States and the second educational institution of any type, public or private, to receive this prestigious award. In 2004, he started Sustainable Growth Technologies, a green building and design consulting company helping businesses, educational institutions, and individuals design and implement strategies and systems that reflect the principles of sustainability and place using holistic and integrated processes. He is a member of The United States Green Building Council; a Trustee of The New Jersey Conservation Foundation, The University of Vermont, Rubenstein School of Environmental and Natural Resources, and The Cloud Institute for Sustainability Education in New York City.
