The Mathematics of Global Change is a two-week summer institute for New York City public high school teachers of Math, Science and Computer Technology to investigate the use of spreadsheets and computer modeling programs to help pre-calculus students understand system dynamics, the current challenges of population dynamics and resource consumption. The course develops in algebra students the mathematics needed to understand and help shape our shared global future.
