Marie-Claire Munnelly

Program Manager

Marie-Claire began her interest in sustainability as a volunteer for environmental trips at James Madison University, aiding and empowering communities nationally and internationally. Before returning to school to study sustainable international energy policy, Marie-Claire was an Oregon State Public Interest Research Group (OSPIRG) Campus Organizer, an English teacher for the Japanese Embassy in Tokyo, a mentor at a Thai orphanage, and a conservation volunteer in a variety of countries.  Marie-Claire volunteers her time to African Sky, a nonprofit devoted to building friendship and understanding between the people of Mali and the United States through sustainable projects. A graduate of the Donald Bren School of Environmental Science & Management, UCSB, Marie-Claire is especially interested in expanding The Cloud Institute’s programs to incorporate climate change issues and international perspectives using social media and design. When not at Cloud, Marie-Claire enjoys good food, yoga, running, photography, bike riding, and exploring New York City.
